SHAME on Lib Dems and Green Party, SHAME on UK MP's

SHAME on Green Party and Lib Dems for not making their support for this Bill known by turning up outside parliament: it won't be long now before they start trying once again to win our votes with their promises. I also think it a shame that the words for medical reasons are used at all, as everyone ought to have their Rights recognised and equal when it comes to cannabis use at home, without having to consult doctors or publicly declare their state on health. I w as also disappointing that so few MP's bothered to go into the Chamber and show support - cowards indeed - and yet not one spoke against the reading; well done Paul Flynn.

Cannabis for Medical Use - Where to Draw the Line?

Well there seems to be some confusion here:  the heading says "legalise medical cannabis" but of course "medical cannabis" (Sativex, a whole plant extract: cannabis in alcohol) is already legal to supply here in the UK, under prescription especially In Wales.

More correctly, Pippa Bartolotti says "Cannabis should be legalised for medical use" which is agood statement but suggests that somebody somewhere will have to draw a line between when it is medical use and when it is  non-medical use and presumably Pippa is not talking about how that is going to be defined in law and what would be done with those that choose "non-medical" use, whatever that is.

Would we end up with a a section of ill and injued people being allowed to grow, buy and possess - and another lot of victimless people being prosecuted for the same activities?

 NO Victim NO CRIME, Justtice for Cannabis Justice for Cannabis Users, Equal Rights for all.

But at least Pippa has the bottle to speak up.

Election 2015: Pippa Bartolotti's call to legalise medical cannabis

Cannabis should be legalised for medical use, according to Wales Green Party leader Pippa Bartolotti.

Ms Bartolotti will make the case for a change in approach in a speech at Cardiff University on Thursday night.
Legalising cannabis has been Green Party policy for some time.
Ms Bartolotti said: "No one has yet died from using cannabis, in fact the health benefits of cannabis in the treatment of epilepsy and cancer are already well documented."
She added: "Commercial organisations in the UK are already allowed to patent and sell cannabis extracts, whilst the population as a whole is criminalised for using it - even if it saves their life. This simply has to be changed."
Ms Bartolotti said cannabis is wrongly labelled as a gateway drug to harder substances like cocaine and heroin and it is the criminalisation of it which is the gateway.

Cannabis and the UK Elections - The Green Party

The Green Party have done nothing to help legalise cannabis possession, cultivation and trade, over the last twenty years, now the election is coming and somebody thinks that they can appeal to the cannabis campaign for votes, I personally need more than a policy that they have mostly kept quiet.

They sat back and watched the trials of THC4MS, Biz Ivol, Colin Davies, Chris Baldwin, Pinky, Winston Matthews, Grannie Pat, Neil Morgan and SO MANY more innocents that were punished for usinga plant to their personal benefit.

All we saw was a poorly attended debate on drugs.

I want a PLEDGE.

This is what I am waiting to hear publicly announced by the Green Party before I consider giving my vote, not simply a third party telling me that you have a cannabis policy that you are afraid to mention for fear of losing votes, but something like this:

"When it comes to the question is it JUST to arrest and punish people for possession or cultivation of cannabis for their own use in their own homes if they have done no harm - the answer is NO. The Green Party will do everything in our power to put that right."

AS for the Greens, a couple of years ago I wrote to them - the letter was forwarded with an added comment for somebody to reply and the reply along with comment came back to me - "I thought we'd taken care of the dopers' votes" it said.

For almost 20 years I have been involved in pushing the Greens and I must say that they did change their policy after the LCA became a political party and won votes in 2001.

I offered to finance a local candidate flier if it included the words Legalise Cannabis or something similar - the fliers were printed but the Norwich Green Party told the lady she was not allowed to put them out, so I withdrew my offer, the fliers were binned and she had no flier at all.

My Eastern Region Green Party candidate Rupert Reid and his associate Adrian Ramsey say advertising their "pro-cannabis" policy would lose them votes.

All credit to Caroline Lucas for starting a petition, but in my region, Rupsert Reid (says the cannabis issue is a "no-brainer") will not get my vote.

The next years General Election I will consider voting for any candidate that seems able and willing to represent me and that includes the cannabis issue - an issue that concerns health and medicine, law and Rights, fuel and pollution, the environment, agriculture, industry, employment, trade, tax, education and even foreign policy.

The absence of any mention of cannabis in these elections (in the UK) demonstrates to need for a dedicated cannabis political party - one that will allow the users to represent themselves.
